My Top 5 Mixtapes of 2009

Author: The Psyentist // Category: ,
Been awhile, but ill get to the point my top Mixtapes of the year (not ranked, just my top 5):
J. Cole - Warm up (click to download)
June 15, 2009
The most solid mixtape. Released June 15, 2009. Some way he always find away to pull me in with his clever flow and sick punch lines. If theres nothing i feel like listening to i pop this in and just bop my head from beginning to end without skipping any tracks.

Dom Kennedy - FutureStreet/LoveDrugs (click to download)
April 28, 2009
I was kinda late jumping on this, because at first i didnt care for it much, but after i listened to it a couple times he just grew on me. He has this chill west coast flow and style, and the way he just spits over these laid back beats is fire. This mixtape is pure dope, please listen if you havent. The best Kennedy after Bobby!

Mike Posner - A Matter of Time (click to download)
Feb 28, 2009
When i first saw this on February 28, 2009 i thought it would be some weak-ass Justin Timberlake impersonation. But, this mixtape was straight fire, solid production and his vocals are on point.

Emilio Rojas - The Natural (click to download)
November 18, 2009
Emilio will light you up with lyrics and when him and DJ GreenLantern came together for this project it epitomize the future of hip hop. This mixtape is ill, but hes one of this artist that i'm not sure if he can make a hit song and make it main stream because of his lyrical style.

Drake - So Far Gone (click to download)
February 13, 2009
Dont really need to say much. Despite the radio eating this up this was an amazing mixtape that was produced and laid together better than 90% of the hip hop albums out now. There shouldnt be a reason why someone should hate this is they actually listen to it.

Sorry Giants fans, Dallas is in theerreee! Romo doin work
